Q. What types of errands will you do?
A. If it's moral, legal, and ethical, Everyday Errand will help you get your errands done! Take a peek at our services page for a sample listing of errands offered.
Q. What do you mean by concierge services?
A. Services that can be accomplished via phone, email, or online are generally considered concierge services. These services are designed to take the pressure off of your growing to do list!
Q. Can I buy just one hour?
A. You may. If you have a quick, simple request, this may be a good idea. However, if you have multiple requests or a project that will likely take more than an hour, you may want to consider a membership package, in which you'll receive more hours at a discounted rate.
Q. Why would I pay someone to grocery shop for me?
A. Grocery shopping is usually a tedious task that many people dislike. If you can hire it done, why not? Everyday Errand has experienced shoppers who can fly through a grocery store, save you money on groceries, and have it delivered to your home or office. Also consider purchasing this service for your elderly relative who could benefit from not having to brave the stores on a regular basis!
Q. How much do you charge?
A. You can buy one hour at a time, called "a la carte services" for $55/hour, or you may purchase an hourly membership package at a discounted rate. Check out the pricing page for all the details!
Q. What are your business hours?
A. Business hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, or by appointment. For urgent needs, you're welcome to leave a message or email and we'll do our best to accommodate your request outside of the regular hours.
Q. I need a lot of help. Can you guide me on what I can really delegate to you?
A. Sure! Everyday Errand can help put organization into your day, while taking some of your errands and projects off your to do list. Check out our services page for more ideas.
Q. Do you have a bigger than 12 hour package?
A. Yes, we have some additional packages available at 20, 30, and 50 hours ... perfect for your ongoing errand and concierge services needs!
Q. Will you take my elderly mother to her doctor appointment?
A. Currently, Everyday Errand doesn't transport people. We would be happy to schedule her doctor appointments, remind her via phone that she has the appointment, and schedule a taxi or car service to take her.
Q. Can I trust you to wait in my home for a repair man?
A. You can! Everyday Errand employs trustworthy people who have had a credit and background check. We realize we'll be in others' homes and want to respect your belongings and personal space. We will only enter your home upon a prior mutually agreed timeframe.
Q. Are you insured?
A. We are!
Q. How will I pay for my groceries and movie tickets?
A. For errand services, you'll have your own expense account at Everyday Errand. When you make your shopping request, you'll know the funds are ready. Should your shopping trip require more money, we'll let you know and make payment arrangements.
Q. I'd like to retain your services for next month. I'll need at least 12 hours, possibly more. Which package should I purchase?
A. I would recommend purchasing the Elite (12 hour) Package. If we realize you're going through the time quicker than expected, you can purchase another package at that time. If, however, you want a quote for a more substantial hourly package, simply let us know during our initial meeting or phone call.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. Currently, Everyday Errand accepts cash, personal checks, or credit cards.
Q. Do you charge for delivery, mileage, or gas?
A. There is not a separate fee for delivery; it is included in your membership package. Everyday Errand will track the number of hours used, along with the mileage used. Depending on the membership package you purchase, your agreement may include 10, 15, or 30 miles. If you need a delivery made greater than the mileage included, you'll be billed at .54 each additional mile. There is no extra charge for gas or vehicle maintenance.
